In the third Generation, TAS Schäfer has been developing innovative products for drive and damping technology since 1961. Initially, the company dealt with the production and assembly of components for hydraulic-powered roof supports and was focused on the regional mining industry.
In the following years, TAS Schäfer developed products for drive technology. Due to the emergence of industrial production for shrink discs and clamp sets the company’s focus has shifted to drive technology. Own products, such as, for example, the hydraulic shrink discs have been developed, and as a worldwide Patent pending. As a result, TAS Schäfer GmbH set global standards in the area of friction contact.
