In Side Bow Chains, pin-to-bushing clearance are much greater than in standard roller chains and double pitch roller chains, and these, plus the clearances between inner and outer links, enable the chain to be used while bowed transversely.

Basic dimensions conform to ANSI chains dimensions, enable standard sprockets to be utilised.
