Jaw Couplings

Also called spider couplings, these are a type of mechanical coupling that uses a flexible element, typically made of elastomeric material, to transmit torque and provide misalignment compensation. The rubber insert is designed to absorb shock loading and does not allow for any metal on metal contact.

The Jaw Coupling is recognised across a large range of industries. They are highly resilient, do not require any lubrication and can work in environments contaminated with oil, dirt, sand, moisture and grease.

Jaw Type couplings are designed to suit the largest variety of stock bore/keyway combinations. These couplings require no lubrication and provide highly reliable service for light, medium, and heavy duty electrical motor and internal combustion power transmission applications.
